For over fourteen years our family has made the Downtown Gainesville, GA square our home. The Washington Street Deli is a culmination of our love of good food, this community, and the friendships we’ve grown and fostered here because of it. We’re not only the owners, we are customers. Our kids pluck snacks from our shelves. Eat the same sandwiches, salads, and fruits we offer everyone. We take pride and care in the quality of food we provide and the products we carry as if we were feeding family, because we are.
The need for a convenience store / bodega style shop on the Square has always been something that was sorely missing. With the residential population of our close knit little historic district growing by the day we thought what better way to continue the great tradition of family owned local markets here than with a unique grab and go concept deli. All the quick items you might need from the gas station, exotic snacks and brands you won’t find at the 7/11, and delicious hand crafted artisan sandwiches, pastas, salads, and desserts ready to go in our coolers.
Washington Street Deli was born and here we are today. Thank you to everyone in our community for the fantastic love and support you’ve shown us. We look forward to many years of feeding you at our table or helping you feed the family at yours. We are grateful and blessed to be here.
